White Rock Restaurant?
Posted on Apr 9th, 2014
LTNA hosted a neighborhood meeting on April 2, 2014 to hear about plans for a restaurant along the shores of White Rock Lake.  A development group has proposed building a restaurant at Boy Scout Hill, on 2.5 acres situated at Buckner Boulevard and Mockingbird Lane. The developers and Dallas Parks and Recreation wanted our neighborhood’s input on this proposal. A straw poll taken after the presentation at the end of the meeting recorded 13 votes for and 15 votes against the proposal. Full Story

Another town hall-type meeting addressing the project is scheduled for April 22 at 7pm at the Lake Highlands Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

LTNA Garden Corner
For anyone who has an interest or a passion for gardening, we have a monthly gardening column from our own - LTNA neighborhood Master Gardener, Maggie Saucedo. She will be offering seasonal garden news, information, and “tips” you can use to indulge your inner “Mother Nature” or “Johnny Appleseed.” We will also offer you an opportunity to share your own experiences, information or questions about all things lawn and garden-related! Click on the photo above to read this month's Garden Corner by our guest columnist, neighbor Bonnie Lindley, who discusses The Gift of Gardening with Your Kids.
