Mandatory Watering Guidelines
Posted on Mar 6th, 2016
Just a reminder that irrigation of landscaped areas with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems is limited to no more than twice per week according to the MANDATORY schedule by the City of Dallas. No watering is allowed on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays and from April 1-October 31, watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the allowed watering days.

Residents with street addresses ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) can water on Sundays and Thursdays. Residents with addresses ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) can water on Saturdays and Wednesdays. These restrictions apply to automatic or in-ground irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers only. Watering by hand, drip irrigation or the use of soaker hoses will be permitted at any time.

LTNA Garden Corner
For anyone who has an interest or a passion for gardening, we have a monthly gardening column from our own - LTNA neighborhood Master Gardener, Maggie Saucedo. She will be offering seasonal garden news, information, and “tips” you can use to indulge your inner “Mother Nature” or “Johnny Appleseed.”  Click on the photo above to read our Lakewood Garden Column for May/June. This month's Garden Corner is by one of our Bob-O-Link neighbors, Clare Rabe DeBoever, who explains how she redesigned her front yard landscaping under a huge Live Oak tree.
