Annual Meeting Recap
The Annual Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association Membership Meeting was held at Ridgewood Recreation Center on Thursday, January 25th, 2018. PHOTOS
2017 President Maggie Saucedo gave a recap of LTNA’s accomplishments and activities from the last year and presented the LTNA Board 2018 slate of candidate for a vote. The slate was unanimously approved. Special guests included: The Honorable Mark Clayton, our City Council representative, Officer Joseph Schutz, our Neighborhood Police Officer, City of Dallas Fire-Rescue Officer Rodan and City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Community Program Coordinator Will Stonum, who was available for questions about the restoration of our piece of Blackland Prairie remnant near Lakewood Park.
Mark Clayton discussed several topics of interest and answered questions about speeding problems on our streets, the plans for regulating the Dallas bike-sharing program and his decision to allocate funds for street repair in our District. Officer Schutz shared crime statistics from our area and stayed around to answer questions from neighbors.
Neighbors were treated to delicious pizza from Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake Pizza, cookies and water. Some lucky neighbors won door prizes, which included a Wine Tasting for 10 at Times Ten Cellars, a $75 gift card from Penne Pomodoro, a $50 gift card from Tululah & HESS, and a $10 gift card from TCBY. These businesses are all included in the LTNA “Partners Card”, which is given to all LTNA new and renewing members. Still haven't renewed your Membership for 2018? Here's how to Join Us!
All in all, the Annual Meeting was a great opportunity for neighbors to meet and learn some interesting things going on in our neighborhood. We thank those who served on the LTNA Board in 2017 and extend a congratulations and welcome to the new LTNA 2018 Board members!
Here’s to a great New Year in Lakewood Trails!
