We are fortunate enough to have a Blackland Prairie in our neighborhood boundaries, in an area just South of Lakewood Park on Williamson. Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association has partnered with the City of Dallas Parks Department and the Master Naturalists to adopt this remnant and restore it to its natural state.

     On Saturday, December 2, 2017 Lakewood Trails neighbors gathered to broadcast native flower and grass seeds in a portion of the area, which the City had mowed to help the seeds germinate.
