| Blackland Prairie Restoration | |
| Location: | South of Lakewood Park on Williamson |
| Time: | 1pm |
| Description: | We are fortunate enough to have a Blackland Prairie in our neighborhood boundaries, in an area just South of Lakewood Park on Williamson. Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association has partnered with the City of Dallas Parks Department and the Master Naturalists to adopt this remnant and restore it to its natural state.
On March 4th, Sunday, at 1:00 p.m. we are going to meet at the prairie remnant to plant about 43 pots of native grasses, provided by the City of Dallas and the Master Naturalists. It will be our next step in restoring the prairie to its original state of native plants and grasses. Please come help plant the grasses! Please bring shovels and gloves, if you have them, although we will try to have extras. Kids are especially welcome!
