FTLOTL Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up
Saturday, January 13th, 2018, 8am at FTLOTL offices, 1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123
LTNA participates in the Adopt-a -Shoreline project with “For The Love Of The Lake.” We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Our clean up area at White Rock starts at the corner of Winsted Dr and Garland Rd and continues north to the train trestle.
Anyone can help us; just remember to register at the For the Love of the Lake Office (1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123) at 8am prior to working.  A continental breakfast and clean up supplies are provided. For more information or to join our team contact Pat Watson at 214 531 1299.
Lakewood Trails Annual Meeting
Thursday, January 25th, 2018, 7pm to 8:30pm at Ridgewood/Belcher Recreation Center, 6818 Fisher Rd
You are cordially invited to the Annual Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association Meeting, which will be held at Ridgewood Recreation Center on Thursday, January 25th, at 7:00 p.m. 
 
We will have several special guests, including:
  • The Honorable Mark Clayton, our City Council representative
  • Officer Joseph Schutz, our Neighborhood Police Officer, who will discuss 2017 crime statistics in our area, and address any concerns or questions from neighbors
  • City of Dallas Fire-Rescue will have an education booth with free safety pamphlets on topics such as smoke alarms, escape planning, and carbon monoxide detectors. They will also have coloring books and other giveaways.
  • City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Community Program Coordinator Will Stonum will be there to give information and answer questions about the Williamson Black Land Prairie remnant, which our neighborhood has adopted in order to help restore the natural habitat and reseed it with native plants and wildflowers.
  • Lindsey Darnell, DISD Public Outreach Coordinator, will be there to give information and answer questions about DISD’s expanded "Public School Choice Initiative" and the effort to expand its offerings of “Best-Fit” schools.
There will be delicious pizza from Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake Pizza, cookies and water.  We will have a door prize drawing for great prizes including a Wine Tasting for 10 from Times Ten Cellars, a $75 gift card from Penne Pomodoro, a $50 gift card from Talulah & HESS, and a TCBY gift card.  These prizes were generously donated from these merchants, who are among the businesses included on our LTNA Partners Card available to members of Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association.
 
We will offer a recap of LTNA’s accomplishments and activities for 2017 and present the LTNA Board 2018 slate of candidates for a vote of approval.Please note that only 2018 dues-paid members may vote at this meeting and serve on the Board. You can easily renew your $20 membership or join LTNA at this meeting, which will entitle you to receive our LTNA Partners Card.
