Our Annual Garden Social will be on Saturday, April 6, from 10:30 to 12:30 at Imelda Haley’s house, 6787 Inverness.  We will have refreshments and plants to share, and some fun activities for kids too.

 

LTNA participates in the Adopt-a -Shoreline project with “For The Love Of The Lake.” We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Our clean up area at White Rock starts at the corner of Winsted Dr and Garland Rd and continues north to the train tressle. Anyone can help us; just remember to register at the For the Love of the Lake Office (1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123) at 8am prior to working.  A continental breakfast and clean up supplies are provided. The purpose of the C.H.I.P.S. (Citizens Helping In Parking Solutions) program is to increase awareness of the challenges facing the disabled and to ensure handicap parking spaces are available when needed. You can be eligilbe to patrol by receiving the C.H.I.P.S. training. You must attend the entire class to be eligible to patrol. If you would like to attend this training, you MUST RSVP with Officer Joe Schutz #9967 by email at joseph.schutz@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us no later than Monday April 1st, 2013.

The weekend includes a Candlelight Tour of Homes & Gardens and the Preview Auction Party on Friday evening with live entertainment at the Dallas Arboretum. The City of Dallas' Spring Recycling Round-Up makes it possible in two locations: Southwest Center Mall, 3663 W.
