FTLOTL Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up
Saturday, April 8th, 2017, 8am at FTLOTL offices, 1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123
LTNA participates in the Adopt-a -Shoreline project with “For The Love Of The Lake.” We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Our clean up area at White Rock starts at the corner of Winsted Dr and Garland Rd and continues north to the train trestle.
Anyone can help us; just remember to register at the For the Love of the Lake Office (1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123) at 8am prior to working. A continental breakfast and clean up supplies are provided. For more information or to join our team contact Pat Watson at 214 531 1299.
Container Gardening Workshop
Saturday, April 8th, 2017, 10am to 12pm at Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park - Grand Hall; 3601 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard - Dallas, TX 75210
Looking to add a little color or texture to your front entry or back patio? Container gardens can be a great way to give a little curb appeal or jazz up a back patio. This workshop teaches how to prepare and install a container garden. You will learn how to prepare the container, prepare the soil, and install a well-planned mix of annuals, perennials, and other colorful foliage plants.
BONUS:
After the workshop attendees can visit the Texas Discovery Gardens Butterfly Plant Sale. Rare native pollinator-friendly plants will be available for sale. Many are hard to find in local nurseries! The plant goes from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
