SoPac Trail Clean Up
Saturday, April 12th, 2025, 8:30am at SoPac Trail
Our clean up team picks up litter on the SoPac Trail adjacent to our neighborhood on the second Saturday of each month, starting at 8:30am. Our clean up site begins under the Mockingbird Bridge continuing to the Trestle Bridge near White Rock Park. The clean up takes about an hour.

Singles, couples and families are welcome. Kids love using the grabbers and take pride in picking up litter. Teens may earn community service hours and may flex their hours.  If you are interested in joining our team or need more information please email Chairperson Pat Watson, Neighbors@LakewoodTrails.net or call her at 214 531 1299.
Blackland Prairie Remnant Workday #1
Thursday, April 17th, 2025, 9am to 11am at 7143 Williamson Rd
We’re excited to team up with AT&T (Thursday) and Patagonia Dallas (Saturday) and TCA to care for one of Dallas’ few remaining prairies, and we need your help! Exotic plants, often from yards, can spread into the wild and disrupt the natural balance of our ecosystems. Invasive species take over, crowding out native plants and reducing biodiversity, which impacts local wildlife. We will be working together to remove these invasive plants and restore the prairie to its natural beauty. By helping, you’ll be supporting vital habitats for bees, butterflies, bats, birds, and other important pollinators!   We’ll have extra tools, gloves, and water available to make it easier for everyone. All are welcome—whether you're an experienced volunteer or new to the task! Come join us and make a difference in preserving our beautiful natural spaces.
