DPD Senior Health & Safety Fair
Wednesday, May 1st, 2013, 9am to 2pm at Lover's Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road
Please join us for the first Senior Health & Safety Fair sponsored by DPD Senior Safety Engagement Project to kick-off Older American’s Month!  Lunch will be provided and door prizes will be given!  This is a FREE EVENT! Topics will include:

  • Welcome

  • Fall Prevention

  • Fraud & Scams

  • Senior Safety

  • Mental Health Fitness

FTLOTL Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up
Saturday, May 11th, 2013, 8am at FTLOTL offices, 1152 North Buckner Blvd, Suite 123
LTNA participates in the Adopt-a -Shoreline project with “For The Love Of The Lake.” We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Our clean up area at White Rock starts at the corner of Winsted Dr and Garland Rd and continues north to the train tressle.




Anyone can help us; just remember to register at the For the Love of the Lake Office (1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123) at 8am prior to working.  A continental breakfast and clean up supplies are provided. For more information or to join our team contact Pat Watson at 214 531 1299.

Operation Beautification: LTNA
Saturday, May 18th, 2013, 9am to 12pm at TBD
                    

LTNA will participate in Dallas’ citywide Spring cleanup effort by doing another targeted alley cleanup and mulching the Williamson trees this morning. Please email us at Garden@LakewoodTrails.net if you are interested in participating or have a suggestion for a cleanup location.

 

LT Kids Trailfest
Saturday, May 18th, 2013, 4pm to 8pm at SoPac Trail

Come play on the trail with all the neighborhood kids, meet other families and just have some plain old fashioned fun outside with us! We will have lots of fun activities for the kids, hot dogs and snacks for all, and a chance for the adults to sit back in chairs and watch the kids play! To access the SoPac Trail enter where Dalhart dead ends into Santa Barbara.


Things to consider bringing:


- blanket or chairs


- bikes or other fun things with wheels


- balls, kites, butterfly net or bubbles


- adult beverages or anything you may want to drink other than water or juice


- flashlights and glow in the dark bracelets for the walk home


- signup to bring an item from signup genius and/or feel free to bring some $ to donate towards the hot dogs


LTNA Crime Watch General Meeting
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013, 7pm at Ridgewood-Belcher Recreation Center, 6818 Fisher Rd
LTNA will be hosting a neighborhood crime watch meeting tonight at 7:00pm at Ridgewood Recreation Center. Our neighborhood police officers will be in attendance to answer any questions or address any concerns from the residents regarding all the recent crime we have experienced in the neighborhood. We appreciate your attendance and support.
