Lakewood 4th of July Parade
Friday, July 4th, 2014, 10am at starting point: Lakewood Blvd and Cambria
The Parade starts at 10am at the intersection of Lakewood Blvd and Cambria. Participants typically begin lining up around 9am. Registration is not required - just pick up a numbered plate at the starting point. Awards and refreshments after the Parade.
Commercial and Political entries are not permittted. Squirt guns are not allowed, nor is it permitted to throw candy, beads, or anything else that might cause injury.
FTLOTL Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up
Saturday, July 12th, 2014, 8am at FTLOTL offices, 1152 North Buckner Blvd, Suite 123
LTNA participates in the Adopt-a -Shoreline project with “For The Love Of The Lake.” We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Our clean up area at White Rock starts at the corner of Winsted Dr and Garland Rd and continues north to the train tressle.
Anyone can help us; just remember to register at the For the Love of the Lake Office (1152 North Buckner Boulevard, Suite 123) at 8am prior to working.  A continental breakfast and clean up supplies are provided. For more information or to join our team contact Pat Watson at 214 531 1299.
LT Kids Lemonade Stand
Thursday, July 17th, 2014, 4:30pm to 6:30pm at outside the Preston home, 7058 Chantilly Lane
LT Kids is hosting a lemonade stand, with proceeds to be donated to the Senior Corporal John Robinson fund. Please stop by the Preston home at 7058 Chantilly Lane to buy a drink or snack and support this cause.
 
Police Officer Fundraiser
Friday, July 18th, 2014, 11am to 6pm at Northeast Patrol Division; 9915 E. Northwest Hwy
The Dallas Police Department and Assist The Officer Foundation cordially invites you to attend a BBQ Brisket, Chicken and Fried Catfish Fundraiser, with sides, benefiting Senior Corporal John Robinson, #8953. Robinson is presently assigned to the Internal Affairs Division. His prior assignment was at the Northeast Division. He is the husband of Katie Robinson, Neighborhood Police Office for Lakewood Trails. John Robinson is recovering from emergency brain surgery. He will shortly begin radiation treatment in conjunction with chemotherapy.
